Stevie Aura usesTENCEL™ Lyocell fibers from Lenzing. This fabric is manufactured in an efficient, closed-loop process and contributed to the circular economy in the textile industry. The use of resources and energy is reduced to a minimum and they are able to achieve environmental protection and resource preservation. This technology reduces the ecological footprint, making it far better than traditional textiles used in fashion production.
Tencel uses 5 times less land than cotton and is manufactured from Eucalyptus trees, which grow fast on land that is low-grade. Lenzing estimates that there is 80% less water usage to produce Tencel than a fibers like cotton.

TENCEL™ is made of cellulose, a natural component of our renewable source material wood. TENCEL™is made from sustainably harvested trees that is accredited and trademarked toLenzing.
Tencel is also known as lyocell, however the forestry behind generic lyocell may be sustainable, but it is not guaranteed. Unless accredited lyocell wood sources are not always traceable, particularly if the fiber does not come from a responsible mill.
Lenzing'sTENCEL™ wood pulp is converted into fiber using a solvent that has low toxicity and is recycled in a closed-loop process, which means that 99.5% of chemicals are reused.
TENCEL™ is used for a variety of highly specialised applications, soft to the skin, it has a smooth feel, and is luxurious in shine and flow. And have exceptional capacity for thermal regulation and moisture absorption.
TENCEL™ is composed of nanofibrils, which are hydrophilic, and have a strong attraction to absorbing moisture, giving it a high moisture absorption ability, plus makes it breathable, softer, and less prone to wrinkles.
At the end of the life of a piece,TENCEL™ will biodegrade, making it a true look good, feel good purchase.
All of our T-Shirts are made from 100% GOTS Certified Organic Cotton. They are PETA Certified Vegan and manufactured with Fair Wear Certified partners.
These items were produced by a small family business in Indonesia. These people are highly skilled artisans and craftspeople who are treated with respect and have regular holidays and time off. We have not been to visit them in person due to the restrictions of the past year, but we have had many Zoom conversations. We have Australian references who have visited the business previously.
The family have asked that we don’t share their photos to maintain their privacy. We respect their wishes and send them so much love and gratitude for producing these special pieces.
Due to restrictions globally, we partnered with ethical manufacturing partners in China for our second, Eden Collection. These partners have fair wage certifications to ensure fair wages and working conditions
Stevie Aura swing tags are printed on unbleached, recycled paper and are secured with a string and safety pin.
The Stevie Aura tarot card is printed on 100% recycled paper. It was hand illustrated by the incredibly talented Samantha Chaffey in the UK.
The swing tag and tarot card can be recycled with other household paper products.
Stevie Aura ships clothing in eco-friendly sachets made from cassava root. These are compostable bags so please dispose of them mindfully with your food waste.
We understand that with every new creation, we consume resources. Stevie Aura strives to be hyper transparent about the magic that we’re creating and about the impact that it has on the environment. We are constantly researching better ways of doing business.
